A-Level (Advanced Level) is an internationally recognized high school qualification, administered by Cambridge International and Edexcel in the UK.
It is typically a 2-year program (AS + A2), where students select 3 to 4 subjects aligned with their intended university major for in-depth study. A-Level results are widely accepted by universities in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and many other countries.
This pathway is especially suitable for students aiming to enter competitive majors such as Medicine, Engineering, Business, or Natural Sciences. A-Level scores are a key part of UCAS applications in the UK and can also be used for university credit recognition in place of AP scores in some US institutions.
Example: A-Level Math (A*) + Chemistry (A) + Biology (A) → Meets entry requirements for UK medical schools
