Global Learners English (GLE) Curriculum Overview
English for International School Students
GL Academy’s GLE (Global Learners English) program is a specially designed English course tailored for international school students.
This program goes beyond improving English proficiency—it fosters essential soft skills required in international school curricula, including the expansion of background knowledge, enhancement of discussion skills, and development of logical thinking.
GLE classes are based on the proven curriculum of Oxford University Press (OUP), but they go far beyond textbook learning.
To encourage student engagement and interest, our lessons incorporate a variety of student-centered approaches such as debates, news article analysis, and reading activities. The GLE program is designed to help students build strong English skills and essential academic competencies in an enjoyable and effective learning environment.

Ms. Sacha Tracy Roux is a native English instructor from South Africa who oversees the Intensive English Program (IEP) and Global Learners English (GLE) programs at GL Academy.
Education & Experience
- LLB (Law) graduate from South Africa
- Participated in Google India’s ESG initiative supporting underprivileged children
- Actively teaching at an international school
- Holds TESL certification
- Holds 10+ teaching certifications including Educational Psychology

Class Allocation
To ensure accurate class placement, we first conduct a level test based on the internationally recognized CEFR standard, providing an objective assessment of each student’s English skills.
The results are carefully reviewed by our Head of Program, who then places students into the class that best suits their level.
Through this systematic approach, every student receives education that truly matches their needs and abilities.
